'Tis the Season, but do you know where our veterans are?

By Remy Benoit

The facts are here: National Homeless Coalition.

Read them and weep. Shame on us.
"Approximately 40% of homeless men are veterans, although veterans comprise only 34% of the general adult male population." Find out how many women veterans are homeless, or about to be and what help is there. Homeless assistance for homeless women.

The young veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan ask me all the time why know one asks what they have come to know about war. Many are ill, many are jobless. Many of the Viet Nam veterans I work with have cancers, Parkinsons, and all kinds of other things.

About 18 veterans are committing suicide a week.

'Tis the season, do you know where our veterans are? Are you going to find out and do something about it? If you are wondering why you should care, visit here at You Tube Angel Flight.

Your donations help me continue my daily work with our veterans. Thank you so much.
