War and the Environment

By Remy Benoit

From Randall Amster and Michael Nagler at Common Dreams War and Planet Earth: Toward a Sustainable Peace.

What is obvious is often missed.
What we do to each other, we do to the planet; we do to future generations who are born with mutations; we do to our soldiers, to civilian populations riddled with cancers and other diseases.

Why is it that we so easily miss the obvious?

Perhaps we should not only think in terms of peace on earth, but peace also for the earth.
Blessings,
Miz' Remy
