David Krieger: When John f. Kennedy Spoke of Peace

By Remy Benoit

From David Krieger at Common Dreams When John F. Kennedy Spoke of Peace.

Yes, I remember where I was the day Kennedy was assassinated. Was he the perfect President? By no means. But he gave us hope, he thought of the future, one not of endless war, but one of endless peace. What better gifts could you give soldiers than peace and care for mental, physical, and spiritual care for all their needs?

Soldiers need us. PTSD overwhelms, and no you do not just "get over it." We are presently engaged in a special pro bono international effort to help soldiers in the UK with PTSD as they are not getting the help they need and suicide rates are climbing. Any soldier of any war is invited to share her or his thoughts in poem or prose in a book whose proceeds will go to PTSD care in the UK. For more information, visit Little Book of War. and follow the links there.

A Blessed Thanksgiving to all. To those in combat, be safe and hold on to who you are. Miz' Remy
