Chuck Todd: Obama v. Cheney

By Remy Benoit

Video from Chuck Todd at MSNBC Obama and Cheney on National Security. "Enhanced interrogation" is simply a euphemism for torture, an activity against which we have signed treaties.

Mr. Cheney is no longer in office. He chose while in office to go to the "dark side" and we have to ask ourselves if we wish to follow him there. It seems that question was answered in the last election when these policies were overwhelmingly voted down.

We are a nation of laws, and that applies even to former vice-presidents. The question at bottom line is—is this man truly concerned with our security or his place in history as one who went one, or two, steps beyond what is acceptable while being concerned with national security. Torture is torture by any name.

Also from Thomas Ferraro at Reuters U.S. Army paid bonuses to KBR despite questions.

From CBS Some GIs Forced To Steal Water In Iraq.

How does not getting proper water to our soldiers add to national security—or their health and effectiveness?
