Have you spent your holidays far from home and loved ones?

By Remy Benoit

If you have, then you are invited to share your stories of how you made it through holidays away from home, in combat zones, whenever, wherever you were. My feeling is that knowing others have walked that ground will make the ground seem more firm under the feet of those who are there now.

I have already posted one story from a mother at home with a son on duty in Iraq for two tours. On Wednesday, I will start posting other stories as they come in. It is my belief that hearing from those who have been there, from those who know, will help make the coming holidays more gentle for those who are away now.

Blessing to all for Thanksgiving,
Miz' Remy
