I have been talking with some of you about being away from home for the holidays in strange lands, in combat zones. I suggested that those of you who have "been there" and know how it feels might want to share your stories with others who are in that place now. It might help them get through emotionally and physically.
You are invited to share your stories with those in active service now to help them through the holiday season knowing that others have made it through, that they are not the first, and won't be last, to know what it feels like to be away from home for the holidays.
Whatever your war, wherever you were stationed, how did you make it through the holidays, your birthday, anniverary, whatever special days—what memories—bitter, sweet, or, indeed, bittersweet—can you share with those in far away places now?
If you were the one here on the home front with your loved one stationed far away, how did you make it through?
Just click on Comments and send your stories on to me for sharing with your sisters and brothers in arms. All copyrights will remain with original authors. Thanks so much.
Blessings to all,
Miz' Remy

Rhea and Jordan Devereaux had it all: undying devotion, a tender love, and a grand passion. And then the Vietnam War separated them. Follow the course of their love across time and space. Journey with them through the steaming jungle; dance with the Mardi Gras revelers while revolution unseats Louis XVI and protestors on the Washington Mall scream, Hell, NO. We won't Go. Sail with Laffite's pirates into Devil's Isle and rejoice as an unconditional and timeless love emerges victorious.
