Driving up oil prices?

By Remy Benoit

Have "sticker shock" at the gas pumps?

Feeling the impact on your grocery order of the cost of food distribution that is being passed off onto you?

Cutting back on all kinds of things just to get to work?

Well, maybe, one of the reasons lies here. If you have had enough of reverse Robin Hood tactics, let your Senators and Representatives know that. Let the candidates know that.

From David Cho, The Washington Post, at MSNBC Investors' appetite for oil evades market limits
Trading loophole for Wall Street speculators is driving up prices, critics say.

Following that line of thinking, from Maya Schenwar at Truthout DOD Contracts Out Contractor Oversight.

From John W. Schoen at MSNBC Job losses continue to weigh on economy
Forecasters expect May data to show another 58,000 drop in payrolls.

From Tom Philpott, Special to Stars and Stripes VA, Congress assist veterans in mortgage mess.

From the AP at MSNBC Home foreclosures set record in first quarter
Economists expect defaults to keep rising as housing crisis deepen.

All these speculators are speculating with your life, with the lives of your children. Today is the Anniversary of D-Day.—the 64th Anniversary. Somehow I don't think our men hit those beach heads to line the pockets of the speculators, but to Preserve, Protect, and Defend our Constitution and the American Dream. We could give these men who gave it all, who spilled their blood into the tides until they ran red, the respect of caring for our nation's Veterans. Joh McChesney at PBS—Many Veteran Suicides are Guardsmen, Reservists.

Perhaps it is time for you to honor them, by demanding investigations into all these areas.
If you don't demand answers from your candidates while they are candidates, why ever would you consider that they might listen once the become incumbents?
