Nomination for Attorney General, and more

By Remy Benoit

From Manu Raju, The Hill, at Truthout Democrats Hit Out at Mukasey's Torture Pledge.

Torture is not the only issue here - the extent of the balance of power called for by our Constitution is also at stake.

From Jon Nichols at The Nation at Veterans for Common Sense Judge Michael Mukasey is (Much) Worse than Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

From the AP at MSNBC Debate on Cheney impeachment averted
The Kucinich resolution accuses Cheney of leading country to war.

With all due respect to Speaker Pelosi, once again, that precious document, our Constitution, determines when impeachment is on or off the table. The possibilities for that were clearly spelled out over 200 years ago. Perhaps the Congress needs to remember that is their guideline, not party politics.

And from Tom Brokaw at MSNBC - a new look at the '60's
Tom Brokaw explores the turbulent ’60s
In latest book, retired NBC anchor puts another generation in perspective.
