Is There a Veterans' Memorial Park in Your Town?

By Remy Benoit

   Two questions:

Is there a Veterans' Memorial Park in your town?

What kind of condition is it in?
Our  troops are actively  deployed around the world, some in  hot  combat zones.

What kind of welcome will they receive when they come home?

Is the Veterans' Park in your town a place they can go to kick back, enjoy nature, feel that they were cared enough about that your town cared for a place for them?

It is summer time here in the States. Time for baseball and barbecues, for fun and friendships.

Does your Memorial Park measure up?

If it doesn't, perhaps it is time to gather the town together for a clean up, plant up, spruce up. It doesn't take a big town budget. It takes a town that cares.

   Does yours?

As Lachlan Irvine notes in his poem, it is never too late to say Welcome Home. WELCOME HOME (IT'S NEVER TOO LATE).
