Raising the Postal Rates; Drowning Small Magazines

By Remy Benoit

We need information, truly a constant stream of it, to be able to be informed citizens. Information from a vast variety of sources is necessary for that. The smaller magazines will bear the weight of postal increases that go into effect in July.

By the way, the "Forever Stamp" that is coming is not a forever price - it just means that when rates again increase you can use them up without the bothersome 2-3 cent stamps to make up the new rate.

From Robert W. McChesney at Common Dreams Post Office to the First Amendment: Drop Dead.

And while we are here, I would really like to know why first class mail takes 5-6 days to be delivered. Any one know the answer to that?
