Healing Today's Children

By Remy Benoit

Every day we watch pictures of destruction; photos of what is left behind by suicide bombers and warfare; photos of what is left behind from famine, genocide, natural disasters, drunken drivers, terminal illness, and all the other catastrophes of life.

What we usually don't see is the personal impact on individual lives of children of these terrible life events.

Well over 1000 children here have lost a parent to war recently - we don't know how many children in Iraq, in Afghanistan, have a lost a parent.

Will you be there for one of them when they need a hand to hold to guide them?

Will you be there for some other child who bears no responsibility for the lost she or he is facing?Make A Difference.

Make a difference - take a hand - mend a heart.
Healing today's Children.

And thanks, Al, for sending this!
