To Whom Does the Law Apply?

By Remy Benoit

The wars go on in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Six more U.S. soldiers died while Senator McCain spoke of improvements in safety which have been so highly paid for with lives. Campaigning in a war zone, by any of the candidates, is something we need to consider in the realm of common courtesy and its violation. It does make the job of those who serve just that much more difficult with all the security for all those 'safe' zones.

While we all hold the British sailors held in Iran in our prayers for the quick and safe return, there just might be some things to consider in this piece by Robert Parry, Consortium News, at Truthout. Bush, Iran & Selective Outrage.

From William Fisher at Truthout Battle Over Habeas Corpus Returns.
