Happy Mardi Gras!

From New Orleans, from the Gulf Coast, thank you to all of you who have given your time, your money, and your prayers to help bring back the wonder that is this area.

NOLA - Mardi Gras.

Yet, none of us are "out of the water" yet according to Stephen Flynn at CNN, a Homeland Security Expert Flynn: U.S. not prepared for the next 'big one'. Hurricane season is roughly three months away. I am already making lists of what supplies need to be updated. How are you preparing for an emergency? Are you demanding of your State and Federal level representatives that they do their part to insure homeland security?

If funds are constantly peeled away from where they are most truly needed, then we do, indeed, have some foreseeable future problems, unless we start tending to them now. That is up to you.

This ruling just in from The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and MSNBC Court rules against Guantanamo detainees Ruling is win for administration, but appeal to Supreme Court is likely.

Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont is going to seek to change the law that allows this. You can visit with Senator Leahy.
