Sometimes it is good to look at terrible times to help us remember how fragile and precious freedom is. There are always the "jackboots" that want to take it away for self-aggrandizement.

The only real protectors of freedom are, indeed, We the People.

Some serve the country on the frontline. When they come home we call them Veterans. National Coalition of Homeless Veterans.
