Outsourcing Operations of U.S. Ports

By Remy Benoit

From CNN Bush faces pressure to block port deal.

From the AP and MSNBC Lawmakers at odds over Arab control of ports.

From the AP, Forbes, and Matthew Verrinder Update 8: N.J. Senator Latest to Assail Port Sale.

Is it too absurd to ask why we cannot run our own ports?

We relied on Secretary Chertoff's judgment after Katrina. There's something to think about.

And there is also something else to think about. The Port of New Orleans opens to the Mississippi, the heartland of the country.

Again, why can we not run our own ports?

We outsource manufacturing; do we need to outsource this too? Should we outsource operations of City Park, Central Park, Gettysburg Battlefield?

From the Conservative Voice and Felicia Benamon Selling Our Sovereignty Down the River.

From the International Times Congress furious about Dubai Port dea.
