Hurricane Rita is now a Category 4 and seemingly headed for the Galveston area where voluntary evacuation has begun.

Meanwhile, in Pearlington, Mississippi, survivors of Katrina are still waiting for help.

Many are still without power and phones. When I reported phones out in Diamondhead, MS, I was given a November date for repairs. November?

There are lots of questions to be asked of many
governmental organizations. Please, those of you who are well connected with power and phones, ask them.

This is the United States. We can do better.
