A Thought for Today

By Remy Benoit

While you are about your Saturday chores, take notice of the things you are cleaning up.

How many of them were made in the U.S.A.?

We outsource.

That means jobs not here.

That means we need to think about making the things we need to, being able to make the things we need to, to protect our way of life.

I am gathering a list of "Modest Proposals;" ideas from people in this country about how to protect and strengthen it; to end the divisiveness; to honor it not only today but in the long run for our children and grandchildren.

We need more tool and dye makers working here.

We need to give our Veterans good jobs and to cover their medical problems.

We need to do a whole lot of things. I would like your input on what we need to do. Then we can share the "Modest Proposals" and get to work on them.

Blessings,
Remy
