Rove and More

Somewhere in here, in all the name calling, we need to remember that we are one country. The last few days have been bully in the schoolyard days, attempts at oneupsmanship, and muscle flexing.

There is work to be done here at home. We need to remember that.

Our forces are dying, being injured, and doing their best in Afghanistan and Iraq, and many other places. The people of those countries are suffering and dying. We need to remember that.

We cannot do anything about anything if we wallow in a sea of division. Lives are at stake; livelihoods are at stake. Indeed, our entire way of life is at stake.

So, can we please get down to work?

Can we celebrate this 4th of July with getting back to the Red, White, and Blue, end this red and blue bickering and get down to the work of carrying out the intent of the Constitution?

That means all working for the welfare of the country, of all the people, in all ways with clear heads, working from positive positions and not negativity and fear. We are CAN DO people. Indeed, as someone once pointed out, American ends in I CAN.

Enough with the divisiveness. Time to take a stand for the United States and get the jobs done. We don't need more discord, we need hard work, balanced journalism, and a balance of power as we are guaranteed by the structure of our government.

That is the responsibility of each and everyone of us to uphold. You have a voice, use it to protect this:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Call your Representatives, call your Senators, call the White House and let them know where you stand. And do remind them, mid-term elections are not that far away.
