New Life Form

By Remy Benoit

From Reuters and CNN New organism raises Mars questions.

This reminds us of how little we still know of our home and its origins, let alone the rest of the vast universe.

Here are some ideas to consider.

Gaia Theory.

Geological History:Tectonism on Mars.

UCMP Exhibit Halls: Welcome to the Geology Wing.

Paleomar Project by Christopher R. Scotese.

Hubble Heritage Project. Click on the pictures to enlarge. I find these photos humbling. If we think of our lives on the planet in terms of the vast scale of all that is out there, out there where few so far have gone, it will perhaps help us to put some things into perspective. On a universe, on a galactic scale, where does a current problem you are having score? Perhaps, perhaps sometimes it would do us all well to step back and look at the immense picture before us whose frontiers we have only just begun to know. Reach for the stars whatever your endeavor. Remember, we choose.
