Saving Private Ryan

By Remy Benoit

Steven Spielberg's classic tribute to those who knew the horrors of the invasion at Normandy seems to need saving.

It was to be aired tonight, Veteran's Day, on ABC but it will not be shown in some areas as broadcasters fear they may find themselves in trouble with the FCC because of the strong, though realistic, language and violence of this production.

CNN. com is running a poll questioning if people feel that Saving Private Ryan is indecent. Saving Private Ryan. The results of the poll at this time will give you some hope that there is some rationality left in the world.

What IS indecent is people not accepting the realities, violence, and, indeed, the language of war.

From CNN.com TV stations canceling 'Ryan' telecast.

Private Ryan is showing here in the Southland; is it showing in your area?
