Reactions to Veterans Day Note

By Remy Benoit

You are invited to send along your thoughts about Veterans Day and/or my note in the article previous to this one. Please indicate if you would like me to post them, with or without name, full or just first name, etc.

Please keep in mind that we are interested in healing; there has already been enough neglect and hurt.

This is the first of the reactions to come in.

There is a desperate need in America for an appreciation of those who attempted to protect
this country in times of international stress. Too often men and women are sent into battle without
proper materials, proper information and proper safeguards.

But even more than the "wounds" of our leadership in Washington, the wounds of disregard for the dedication and sacrifice certain citizens gave, is a form of insult from which we MUST recover if we are to expect another generation of young Americans to help protect our country.

I have sent on your Veterans Day message to a number of my friends.
